World’s leading manufacturer of small form computers, Shuttle will showcase the DS67U at the Digital Signage Expo 2016 in Las Vegas. It is a new 4K Bluetooth- and WiFi-enabled media player that is powered by the Skylake by Intel processor.
The compact computer barebone Shuttle DS67U of Shuttle is ideal for digital signage applications as well as an office PC. The Celeron 3855U (2 cores, 1.6GHz) with a thermal design power (TDP) of 15 watts is so efficient that it fanless. Loading can be the 4 cm flat DS67U with a 2.5 “drive.
To connect older hardware Shuttle has built into the front two RS-232 interfaces. Monitors controls the Mini-PC via HDMI and DisplayPort to 4K resolution. At the latter interface, it is Ultra HD from with a repetition rate of 60 Hz.

The DS67U also incorporates Skylake by Intel, its most up-to-date processor.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and detachable antennas, designed to make it simple to connect peripherals such as smartphones, keyboards, mice, tablets, etc., which makes it easier for integrators to interact with clients’ access points, the company said.
It also supports M.2 SSDs, which are designed to enable high-performance storage in thin, power-constrained devices.
The Shuttle DS67U fanless design operates 24/7 and consumes less than 20 W of power at full capacity, the company said.
The DS67U has built-in HDMI and DisplayPort, two USB 3.0 ports, and 2 built-in RS232/RS422/RS485 serial ports. A VESA mount is included.
For application flexibility, the player supports 2 discrete displays simultaneously with 1080p resolution.
Shuttle Computer Group also said it offers integrators imaging services and customized BIOS, that provides them a way to speed deployments and reduce costs while maintaining consistency.
The new Skylake media players are available with a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor, subject to terms and conditions, the company said.
