Xiaomi – the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has just announced its latest laptop, touted as the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, which is powered by the eight generation Intel Core i7 processor. The company also claimed that the newly arrived laptop comes with more advanced and enhanced cooling technology that cools down the system more efficiently, which the company called it as “symmetrical cooling design.”
The Xiaomi unveiled its device at Mi MIX 2 and Mi Note 3 launch event and throughout the presentation; they compared their device with the high-end MacBook Pro 2017, interesting. The laptop features a 15.6 inches display that carries the support for 72 percent NTSC colour gamut. The laptop screen is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that prevents it from being damaged. The device has a sleek and slimmer design, measuring at 360.7 x 243.6 x 15.9mm and weighs at 1.95 kg.
Under the device, there is an eight generation Intel Core i7 chipset along with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card. The laptop offers up to 16 gigabytes of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM plus up to 256 gigabytes of PCle SSD. There is also a fingerprint sensor embedded in touchpad for added security as well as compatible with Windows Hello for facial recognition.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with a full sized backlit keyboard, which the company described as the “the Mi Notebook Pro has a 19 percent larger keyboard area as compared to the MacBook Pro.” The connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.
To power the device, there is a 60Wh of battery with lightweight charger, which company claimed that it will provide you 50 percent charging in just 35 minutes. The device will be available in three variants on the basis of storage: Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM retails for CNY 6,999, Intel Core i7 with 8GB RAM model priced at CNY 6,399, and Intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM model carry a price tag of CNY 5,599.
